The laboratory ultrapure water machine is roughly divided into four units: pretreatment, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and terminal ultrafiltration. The tap water first passes through the pretreatment unit to remove the larger particles, suspended matter and some organic matter in the water. Then it enters the reverse osmosis unit to intercept and remove ionic substances and macromolecular substances (such as viruses, microorganisms, etc.) in the water. After that, it passes through the ion exchange unit to purify and ultra-purify the remaining minute ions after being removed by the membrane, so that the ion content in the water is reduced to a trace level. Finally, UV, ultrafiltration and other technologies are used to ensure that the microorganisms, organics and pyrogens in ultrapure water meet the needs of various experimental applications.
